You’ve got questions. I’ve got answers.
HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU’RE DYING TO KNOW WITHOUT HAVING TO WAIT AROUND ALL DAY FOR A REPLY TO AN EMAIL.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED OUT OF? DO YOU TRAVEL?
I am based out of Ottawa, Ontario (Canada). And I am available for worldwide travel. Check out my list of places I want to go here.
how do travel costs work?
Travel is included within 80km of Ottawa (roundtrip). Outside of that it’s $0.30 per km. If I’m traveling to you (outside of Ottawa), I require accommodation for a roundtrip plane ticket, a rental car, and two nights lodging. I book my own flights and stay.
How long have you been a photographer?
I always remember having a camera as a kid, film at first then little digital point and shoots. I got my first real DSLR camera in 2013 right before I moved to Los Angeles for two years. I was surrounded by so much beauty I knew I wanted to remember it for ever so I took 30,000 photos just to make sure. When I came home after that I went to school for photography to make a career out of it. I graduated from the Algonquin College Photography Program in 2017 and I’ve been a professional wedding photographer ever since.
how many images do you include?
what is your turn around time?
For engagement shoots your photos will be done within four weeks of your shoot. For elopements and weddings your photos will be done within four months of your wedding date. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it will take that long to receive your photos but that is the absolute longest it could take.
do you give raw unedited photos?
Never. I don’t give away my RAW files to clients because they are an unfinished product. My editing style is why you hired me right? So trust me and let me do my thing.
can you photoshop us?
I can remove blemishes and stray hairs - superficial things. But I won’t take a few pounds off or change your bone structure. I think that moments are best remember how they actually were. You’re not doing your future self any favours by changing your appearance and looking back on a false version of yourself.
what if there’s bad weather?
As long as it’s safe to be outside and you’re game to shoot there’s no such thing as bad weather. Things like storm clouds, rain and snow add a lot of character to the shoot.
would you keep photos offline?
Except for VERY special circumstances I don’t keep photos offline. Posting photos on my blog, website and social media is how I showcase my work and find new clients.
